Bedrooms

Each of our rooms has been refurbished with new en-suite facilities, with either a shower and / or bath, which compliment the decoration.

Each room has a flat screen television, radio alarm clock and hairdryer. A hospitality tray with a selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolate and biscuits. A comprehensive information folder is provided for you during your stay.

For the comfort of our guests we are completely non smoking. All rooms are double-glazed and have central heating which is regulated by you by a thermostatic control to allow you to decide the warmth of the room.

A laundry service is available to wash and dry clothing (a charge applies). An Iron and Ironing board are also available.

All fire regulations are met with the new standards and have smoke and fire alarms.

En-suites

All our guest rooms are en-suites and have a shower, hand basin and toilet some rooms have a bath with shower over. The rooms all have instant and constant hot water. We provide quality shampoo, shower gel and hand lotion. Christy towels are also provided during your stay.

Lounge

The guest lounge is available during your stay to meet up with others or just relax. A range of local literature is available in the lounge to read. We are happy for you to spend as much time in here as you like.

We have compiled a selection of places to eat for you to browse through which is in the lounge for all tastes and budgets. We are also happy to suggest places to eat out from a lunch time snack to that special celebration.

Please be aware that some of York’s finer restaurants can be very busy and advise booking prior to arrival especially at weekends and during events to avoid disappointment. Please ask for advice at time of booking.

Breakfast

We have an enviable room which allows us to seat every one at the same time so no one is left waiting to be told when they should have breakfast.

Once you have chosen your table a selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate will be offered. Hot toast is served to your table.

A breakfast bar offers fruit juices and freshly prepared seasonal fruit with home made yogurt. Local jams and preserves and honey are available to have with croissants.

We have a selection of cereals and homemade muesli is available to mix with apricots, prunes, banana and mixed nuts.

A full English breakfast is then served or an alternative such as vegetarian if requested.
